CGS Recognized as Microsoft® U.S. Public Sector Partner of the Year in Education

CGS Recognized as Microsoft® U.S. Public Sector Partner of the Year in Education

Award recognizes outstanding use of Microsoft technology and industry expertise in the education market.

New York, NY - July 27, 2010 Computer Generated Solutions Inc. (CGS) has been named as the 2010 Microsoft U.S. Public Sector Partner of the Year in Education. Announced this month at Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner Conference in Washington, DC, the award recognizes CGS for its expertise and innovative use of Microsoft technology to deliver solutions in the K-12 and higher education market. The foundation for this award includes CGS’ work with over 150 education customers in the design and deployment of SharePoint-based faculty and student portals, e-mail migrations to Microsoft’s cloud-based Live@edu solution and the CGS Unlimited Mailbox™ solution, which delivers enterprise class e-mail archiving and eDiscovery capabilities to Live@edu customers.

“We are honored to be named as the Microsoft Partner of the Year in Education,” stated Michael Wilding, Senior Vice President of Technology Solutions & Training Division at CGS. “The Education market has been a key focus for CGS as it provides us the opportunity to support future generations with the best of today’s technology. We thank Microsoft for this award and their recognition of the CGS team effort that made this possible.”

Microsoft’s 2010 U.S. Public Sector Partners of the Year were awarded to government, education and healthcare industry partners in a variety of categories. Award winners and finalists were selected from nominations received from Microsoft’s U.S. Public Sector team working throughout the nation.

“We rely on our education partners to implement and customize our technology to meet the needs of schools, educators and students across the country,” said Sig Behrens, general manager for U.S. Education at Microsoft.  “We’re honoring Computer Generated Solutions because of their incredible commitment to innovation on behalf of public education over the past year.”

As a leading Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, CGS leverages its broad range of industry expertise and the power of Microsoft technologies to offer integrated solutions that support critical business and organizational processes and collaborative information management. Based on its proven record of accomplishment, CGS was selected in 2009 as one of the first technology providers to offer Microsoft’s Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS) cloud computing solution. Additionally, in February of this year, CGS launched a new cloud-based version of its Unlimited Mailbox email archiving and e-discovery solution that has been delivered through the cloud-based Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite (BPOS).
